Resarch Interests: audio visual and physiological emotion recognition, mental health assessment from mobile and wearable devices, depression analysis

Dongmei Jiang received her PhD degree in Computer Science and Technology from the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi’an China in 2000. Since then she has been affiliated with NPU, where she became a full professor in 2010. She has been a visiting scholar at the Department of Electronics and Informatics (ETRO), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium, from 2001 to 2002, and from 2006 to 2007, respectively. Her research has focused on multi-modal affective computing, including audio visual and physiological emotion recognition and depression assessment. Her team has been the winner of the Audio Visual Emotion Challenge (AVEC2015), AVEC2016 Depression Sub-challenge, and AVEC2019 State of Mind Sub-challenge. Dongmei Jiang has served as the Local Organizing Co-chair of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data (BigMM2018), the 6th International Conference on Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII2015), and the 2nd International Conference on Orange Technologies (ICOT2014). She was the Publication Co-chair of ACII2019, ACII2017, ACII Asia 2018, and ICIG2009. She has been the program member of AVEC2019, AVEC2018, AVEC2017, MEC2017, ACII2015, etc.
